Meet the team
Working together for a pain free life
Meet Ashleigh
I'm passionate about helping people move better, recover from injury, and get back to doing what they love - whether that's running a marathon, competing at an elite level, or simply living without pain.
I graduated from the University of Cape Town in 2008 before completing my master’s degree in Exercise and Sports Physiotherapy.
As a runner myself, I understand the dedication, challenges and frustrations that come with training, injury and recovery. I've also competed in many other sports, giving me a broad understanding of the demand’s different sports place on the body. My own sporting journey has shaped the way I assess, treat and rehabilitate injuries, always aiming to get you back performing at your best.
My career has taken me from Cape Town to Durban, where I worked at a High-Performance Centre treating athletes across a wide range of sporting codes. I've had the privilege of travelling with Team South Africa as part of the medical team at the Region Five Games, Africa Games, Commonwealth Games and the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro 2016, Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024. These experiences have allowed me to work alongside some of the country's top athletes and coaches while refining an evidence-based, performance-focused approach to treatment and rehabilitation.
I have a particular interest in running injuries, sports rehabilitation and helping active people perform at their best.
Meet Matthew
I graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2019, completing my community service year at Thelle Mogoerane Regional Hospital, where I managed the orthopaedic and musculoskeletal clinic among other community health programmes.
I went on to gain broad clinical experience across both public and private practice before moving to Cape Town in 2022 to work full-time in a private, sports-based physiotherapy practice.
I have a strong interest in sports-related conditions, musculoskeletal pathologies, pain management and orthopaedics, and have worked alongside medical teams for rugby and hockey programmes in Gauteng.
I take a holistic approach to guiding each patient towards their personal goals and an optimum state of wellness.
Outside of the practice, I am an avid sportsman myself and stay active through strength training, padel, and trail and road running.
I love my role as a physiotherapist and enjoy treating a wide range of conditions, with a particular interest in sports-related injuries.
